FAQ's
Q: What is an each-way bet?
A: It's betting on the horse to win or place (place refers to being in the first few to finish). In effect it's 2 different bets at once so if the horse wins you win both bets, if the horse finishes in the places but doesn't win you only win that bet. The number of places that qualify for a pay out are shown at the bottom of our odds tables.
Q: What do the odds mean?
A: Traditional odds are always 2 numbers divided by a slash, e.g. 3/1. This means you get £3 back for every £1 you stake. Decimal view is easier to understand for many betting newcomers. You can switch to seeing the odds in decimal using our Site Settings box under our left menu. Decimal simply shows you the amount to multiply your stake by.
Q: How much will I get back for my bet?
A: Stake x odds + return of initial stake. E.g. stake = £5, odds = 3/1: £5 x 3 + £5 = £20
Q: Are there any fees?
A: No. We are a completely free service. The exchange companies we feature (Betfair, Betdaq, WBX) charge a commision on winnings, generally 5%, but they tend to offer better odds which compensates for this. The other bookmakers have no fees except where a credit card issuer is making nominal charges for deposits.
