Valtina looked a nice prospect when landing a Haydock maiden last month but didn't appear to last out 1m2f in a Listed contest
at Newbury on Friday. Harmonic Note has been racing at a high level since landing a Dundalk maiden and Ger Lyons doesn't waste
journeys across the Irish Sea while Heading North has run well in a couple of stiff handicaps after ending her first campaign
with a victory over 7f at Chepstow. Contradict looked suited by plenty of give in the ground when slamming the opposition
in a Salisbury handicap so any more rain would greatly aid her cause but ELIK looks to have more scope than most of these
and gets the vote after a very promising run at Chester where she was unlucky not to finish much closer.
Oddschecker Verdict
It could pay to side with Irish raider HARMONIC NOTE, who is the highest rated on official figures. By making the journey
over to England, the three-year-old daughter of Nayef ought to get her favoured fast ground, which hasn't been the case too
often in Ireland lately, and having Jamie Spencer on top for the first time is another positive. Elik has improved in each
of her four visits to the racecourse thus far and wasn't beaten too far in the Cheshire Oaks last time. Any further progress
is sure to see her in the shake-up, while Heading North, Contradict and Valtina are other respected players.
