Sporting Life Preview

It should pay to stick with SOFIAS NUMBER ONE in this. He managed to complete a hat-trick last time despite being dropped back to 7f here under a penalty - the previous course and distance winner can go in again. Bold Marc looks a threat off his current rating and Mataajir can figure back on the Fibresand after a dire effort at Nottingham last week. Mcconnell continues to find at least one too good despite slipping down the weights but On The Cusp showed a bit more last time and the multiple course and distance winner looks on the way back to form.

Oddschecker Verdict

SOFIAS NUMBER ONE was in fine fettle when last seen, winning his last three including two at this track. He resumes off a 4lb higher mark than when successful over 7f here in early-April but will relish the return to 1m and should take all the beating if fully tuned up after his short break. McConnell rates a solid each-way alternative under Jimmy Quinn, with Bold Marc another of interest having recorded his last two victories over this C&D.

Prediction: 1st Sofias Number One, 2nd McConnell, 3rd Bold Marc
