Worcester 16:20 Racecard and Betting Preview

Sporting Life Preview

Troyan's second at Ffos Las reminded us that he did show some ability earlier in his career, though whether he'll repeat that form here is anybody's guess. Previous winners Black Jack Rover and TOWERING look more reliable with the latter just preferred being slightly less exposed and open to further improvement upped in trip. Donald McCain's charge has won a point-to-point over 3m on fast ground, however. It's difficult to make a case for many of the others.

Oddschecker Verdict

BLACK JACK ROVER did well to finish close to a progressive rival at Wetherby considering his rider lost an iron at one stage and he was crowded at the last flight. He narrowly shades the vote over Towering, who might have made it two from two over hurdles had he not fluffed the final flight at Newton Abbot in May. That pair concede weight to Troyan, who showed considerable promise on his first start for a new yard.

Prediction: 1st Black Jack Rover, 2nd Towering, 3rd Troyan
