Frank Lampard has emerged as the 5/4 favourite with Sky Bet to take the reins at the Stadium mk following his confirmed departure from New York City.
Following the news that broke on Monday that Lampard would be leaving New York City FC there has been much speculation about his next move.
Most of the moves that have been touted for him have been in a playing capacity, with Crystal Palace leading the way for his signature. MK Dons have emerged as a possible destination for him though, with him taking over as manager of the League One club. He is 5/4 with Sky Bet at time of writing to become their next manager.
Steve Cotterill had previously been the uncontested favourite for the job and is still evens at BetVictor. Paul Mitchell and Ryan Giggs are next in line, with odds of 6/1 and 10/1 respectively.
Another ex Premier League legend who's out of contract is Steven Gerrard. He is best priced 16/1 to make the move into management at MK Dons. Could we see Lampard and Gerrard battling it out to become the next MK Dons manager or do they have have something left in the tank in a playing capacity?
Adrian Durham was only talking about the importance of Gerrard and Lampard becoming managers/coaches on TalkSport last night and his plea for them to do that may have been heard already.
