The former Hollyoaks man is now 3/1 with most bookmakers.
He may not have topped the leaderboard on Saturday night but Danny Mac now leads the betting market for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
Awarded 31 points by the judges for his Cha Cha, the 28 year-old was just one point behind table-topper Daisy Lowe and level on points with Louise Redknapp in second place.
The bookies reacted by making Mac the 3/1 favourite (from 11/1) ahead of Redknapp and pre-show favourite Will Young both 5/1.
Tipped up earlier in the week on these pages, Mac seems to have impressed not only the judges and the bookies but the fans too!

If I didn't know who Danny Mac was I would've genuinely thought he was a pro dancer. #Strictly— Kash (@heyitskasia) September 24, 2016
