Oddschecker changes

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oddschecker has evolved

Oddschecker is ten years old so what better time to make some changes. We'd like to highlight a few areas where we have improved its usability for users new and old. Most notably we have a new look with a general change in colour scheme from Blue to Black. We've tried to stick to a common theme throughout where orange indicates something that has an action attached - like taking you to a new page, and yellow highlights where you are, help or information. We've tidied up our pages and improved our navigation all so you can get to your bets easier and faster.

Site header/Menu

The Markets Reports section has moved from the top of the left menu to a new home in the betting tools section of the site header (the reports are still available via e-mail for registered users). The calculators and bookmarking tools can be found here now too.

Betting tools select

We'll be introducing many more features, offers and improvements over the next few months and so we've improved our Login section in the header so that more users sign up and don't miss out on any of the good stuff we'll be doing. The new user welcome message and expanded login area disappear when logged in which moves the all important betting areas of the site more into view.

Login section

The Odds Format selection buttons are moving down to the bottom of the left menu and a new option is now available. The 'Winnings' option now offers users the chance to view the odds as bet returns for a given stake.

Odds tables

All our betting odds tables now show a Quick Picks box which shows the top 3 bets in that market with a link to the best odds bet slip. This is the fastest way to get a bet on for people with multiple accounts. We'll also be highlighting the best new free bets in this area too.

Quick picks view

To help keep as many selections in view as possible without the need to scroll your page the position of the sportinglife Racecard/Results links has moved into the top of the odds table and the Odds layout selections have moved below the tables.

We show more Markets than anyone else, we'd like to give them all prominence but some markets are more equal than others. We now show the top markets associated with any particular betting event in tabs across the top of each table and the 'More' markets tab opens out to reveal the numerous other betting options. The first view in the more section is the next 15 markets ordered by popularity, so most people's betting needs are at most just a rollover away. More specific markets can be accessed by selecting the relevant market grouping shown across the top of the 'More' rollover section.

Top navigation

We've subdivided our sections so that a useful top navigation between areas in the same category is in view at all times. This means you should have no problem switching from Championship to Premiership football games or X Factor to Strictly special bets with just one click.

Overview pages

We have reworked the sections on site that show matches to make a clearer distinction between the option to build a coupon of multiple bets and the option to go straight through to see the full betting odds available on any given match.
