Andy Holding goes in search of more profits with four tips on Tuesday.
Although SHAHAAMA (best price 12/1)
clearly has her limitations, at the same time, she doesn’t appear too badly treated off a mark of just 60 for her handicap debut and she’s worth a small each-way interest to put that theory to the test. Having showed a modicum of promise in her first two starts, the daughter of Showcasing exhibited a good deal more ability on her latest outing at Nottingham and although she was soundly beaten back in third, time may tell that she was up against two fairly useful sorts in the shape of Mustallib and Hermitage Bay. Given that the latter named is a fairly reliable guide to the form off a rating of 80, Mick Channon’s charge, therefore, has done quite well to be assessed 20lb inferior off the back of that display, and as the time figure of the race in question was also quite good, she shouldn’t have to much trouble coping with the likely decent pace often generated by a double-figure field size handicap.

KAYLA (NAP) (best price 2/1)
was agonisingly denied victory last time out, but being as she was beaten by subsequent scorer Very Extravagant, there’s more than a fair chance she can make amends at a track where’s she’s got proven winning form. Yet to run a bad race in seven career starts, Stuart Edmund’s inmate has really taken well to her new discipline and having got off the mark over hurdles at Southwell three outings ago, she’s gone on to run two solid races in defeat. A cracking effort behind the much-improved Lady Of Longstone back in September has to be viewed a big step in the right direction and there was nothing wrong with her performance at Uttoxeter 17 days ago, where she might have won but for an untimely slow jump at the last. Having needed this stiff track to help her score over two miles back in her bumper days, stamina is clearly this filly’s strong suit and with today’s fast ground also in her favour, the daughter of Kayf Tara has plenty in her favour.

As time has proven, PLEASELETMEWIN (best price 3/1)
was clearly up against a smart bunch of colts on debut at Goodwood, so he should find today’s company a little more palatable providing he handles the Tapeta surface at the first time of asking. Green and outpaced in the early stages at the Sussex venue, Ralph Beckett’s charge, however, did keep on nicely in the final two furlongs of that strongly run event, and as the first two home have both gone on to boost the form in no uncertain terms subsequently (winner Yalta is now second favourite for the Coventry), there’s a decent chance the son of Power will follow suit granted normal improvement.

As Wakea proved on Friday night, the form of the race won by Balzac Turgot at Limerick 23 days ago has plenty of substance and the third home that afternoon, BRIGHT TOMORROW (best price 9/2)
, looks to have a fine chance of boosting its profile even further in a contest where only a handful can be fancied. Disappointing in a bumper at Punchestown the time before, Jessica Harrington’s charge ran to much higher level on his first attempt over hurdles and even though he couldn’t quite go with the front two in the latter stages, this future chasing type did more than enough to suggest he can pick up a race of this nature during the summer jumping period.
