With more transfer talk this morning, which moves are most likely according to the bookies?
There’s plenty more transfer talk this morning to keep us guessing where the next move will come from and who it will involve. According to today’s BBC Gossip Column the transfer window is showing no signs of slowing down.
Forgotten Liverpool man, Mario Balotelli, might be on his way out of Anfield sooner rather than later as yet another club look set to give him a chance to revive his career. Despite only scoring once in 20 Serie A games last season, reports suggest Balotelli’s destination could be Sampdoria, with the Italian club 2/1 favourites to sign the striker.
Saido Berahino looks to be in for another eventful transfer window with a number of clubs vying for his signature. Reports earlier in the week suggested Stoke had refused to meet West Brom’s £20m valuation of the player. However, Watford have now joined the race and reports this morning claim they are considering a £20m bid for the player, which may include Odion Ighalo as a makeweight. You can get 2/1 on Berahino joining Watford, with Stoke priced at 3/1.
Another frontman who has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs is Alexandre Lacazette. West Ham have already had several bids for the player turned down, whilst Arsene Wenger is said to be prepared to meet Lacazette’s £34.2m release clause to prise him away from Lyon. He’s 7/2 to join Arsenal this window and 5/1 to join fellow Frenchman Dimitri Payet at West Ham.
And finally, the Paul Pogba to Man Utd rumours go from strength to strength as Ed Woodward held face-to-face talks with Pogba’s representative’s earlier this week. Will he return to Old Trafford? He’s 4/5 to make the move.
