With the transfer deadline approaching, Sissoko’s dream move to Real Madrid looks off
Moussa Sissoko has been linked with some of the best clubs in Europe through the summer which includes Arsenal, Liverpool, Inter Milan and Real Madrid. After Newcastle valued him at £35 million, the reported clubs quickly cooled their interest in the Frenchman. As the deadline is quickly approaching, it’s looking extremely likely that Sissoko will remain at Newcastle.
Staying at Newcastle isn’t the ideal scenario for Sissoko as it will undoubtedly affect his inclusion in the French national team. You can currently get odds of 5/4 that he will remain at Newcastle and play his trade in the Championship. If you backed this last week you would have got 8/1.
There are still clubs monitoring Sissoko's situation and you can get 10/3 that he’ll join Ronald Koeman at Everton. Alan Pardew has money available to spend at Crystal Palace and they have been priced at 7/1. A move abroad could be his final option with Juventus at 8/1 or PSG at 14/1.
However, a dream move to Real Madrid looks off. After quoting “I hope Real will come for me, I’m still waiting” to World Football at the beginning of August, interest has cooled off since then and you can get odds of 14/1 that Madrid will make one final attempt to sign Sissoko. At the beginning of the month he was 4/7 to make the move to the Bernabeu.
