Leicester City have been slashed overnight from 66/1 to 33/1 to win the Champions League following their 3-0 win over Club Brugge.
Leicester City celebrated their first Champions League match with a comfortable 3-0 win against Club Brugge in Belgium. Whilst we saw Arsenal & Tottenham Hotspur disappoint in their opening fixtures, the Premier League champions put in an impressive display and they easily could have scored more.
Before the opening game they were 66/1 to win the competition but today they have been cut to as short as 33/1 to lift the trophy. Surely it’s a tough task but they did win the Premier League as the 5000/1 outsiders when no one expected them too. The bookmakers even believe that they are more likely to win the tournament than Napoli, Sevilla, Benfica and Tottenham.
While they may not win the tournament, with a relatively easy group and a style that should suit European football the Leicester dream looks set to continue in the latter stages of the Champions League.
