Brisbane have conceded at least three times in five of their last seven on the road.
Central Coast Mariners v Brisbane Roar - Saturday 07:35, BT Sport 1
After miraculously rescuing a point at Perth in their opener having been 3-0 down, the Mariners were thumped 4-0 at Sydney, so they’re still in search of their first win since January. Brisbane are also without a win this season after they suffered a surprise 4-0 defeat at the Jets to leave them with just one point so far.
The Mariners’ defensive problems from last season don’t appear to have gone away as they’ve already shipped seven goals and have now trailed at the break in their last eight matches. Their home record since the start of last season is W2-D3-L9 as they’re without a clean sheet in any of these games, but did find the net in 10. As a result eight of these games saw more than three goals, while five had more than four.
Since Brisbane have conceded at least three times in five of their last seven on the road, we think this one could be full of goals and we’re backing Over 3.5 Goals, whilst we wouldn’t put anyone off Over 4.5 at 4.75.
Brisbane have won just three of their 14 road games since the start of last season, but the Mariners are the worst side in the division by some way so we’re going to back Brisbane to Win and Both Teams to Score at 3.25.
