Perth will provide a major test to the hosts in Sunday's early A League clash.
Sydney FC v Perth Glory - Sunday 06:00, BT Sport 1
Sydney maintained their perfect start to the season as they came from behind to beat Victory at home, though they have now conceded their first goal of the campaign. Perth, meanwhile, have already conceded nine times in their five games, two of which came in a 2-2 draw with the Wanderers in their last match as they trail Sydney by seven points already.
For all that Sydney have impressed this season, they’re yet to face a side currently in the top four so we’re not getting too carried away with their start just yet. They’ve beaten the Mariners and Victory at home so far but they struggled when hosting teams that finished above them last season as they won just two of their nine games against these teams, suggesting they look a little short at 1.7.
Perth won 3-2 at City in their opening road game and were only undone by a late Brisbane winner in their last away trip and so we’re backing them on the double chance to pick up at least a point. They’ve won six of their last nine road games and have lost just three of their last 18 overall and so we fancy them to end Sydney’s winning run.
