The hosts have a tremendous home record against sides out of the top four.
Borussia Monchengladbach v Eintracht Frankfurt – Friday 19:30, BT Sport 2
It was a rare blip at home for Borussia Monchengladbach against Hamburg a couple of weeks ago as a goalless draw put an end to 10 successive victories at Borussia Park, nine of which were Win/Win Half-Time/Full-Time doubles. They’ve since lost away to Bayern and find themselves 10th in the table.
Frankfurt finished 16th last season but they’ve performed much better so far this term, winning half their matches and losing only twice, though both of these came on the road where their record reads W2-D0-L2. Each of these away fixtures has been against sides that finished in the bottom-half last year or were promoted, however, so we arguably can’t read too much into them. Indeed, they lost all nine of their trips to top-half sides in 2015/16 while netting just four times.
Immediately 1.87 about the home win stands out to us but for a bit more value we’ll back Gladbach/Gladbach half time/full time, as has been the case in 19 of their 24 home triumphs against sides outside the top-four since 2014/15.
