Hoffenheim face a Hamburg side that have failed to score in six of their last seven.
Hoffenheim v Hamburg - Sunday 14:30, BT Sport 2
Hoffenheim come into this game on the back of a 10 game unbeaten streak, having won five on the bounce before registering an impressive draw at Bayern before the international break, even taking the lead in this match. In each of these victories they led at the break, so the hosts have to be made huge favourites for this clash when considering just how abysmal Hamburg have been so far.
Markus Gisdol’s side are one of only two teams yet to win this season, rooted to the bottom of the table having conceded 23 goals and scored just four. They’ve now lost eight of their last nine, losing each of the last three by a margin of exactly three goals, and though they’ve been level at the break in nine of their last 13, they’ve lost the first period in three of their last five, suggesting their form is getting even worse.
Hamburg have failed to score in six of their last seven, only managing a couple of consolation goals against Dortmund in their last. Hoffenheim might have less firepower than Dortmund (they haven’t scored more than twice in any of their last 11 at home), but they sit two places above them in 3rd, whilst Hamburg’s atrocious form is even worse on the road, where they’ve failed to score in four. Given odds of 3.1, we really like the value in Hoffenheim to win to nil.
