Dortmund can take three points without conceding on Saturday afternoon.
Borussia Dortmund v Borussia Monchengladbach – Saturday 14:30
Dortmund boss Tomas Tuchel slammed his players’ attitude after the team’s defeat at Frankfurt, and they will be desperate to improve in time for their home clash against Gladbach this weekend. Gladbach, who haven’t won on the road in the league this season, and have gone W1-D3-L11 on the road in the last 12 months, will be eyeing the relegation zone nervously. They certainly can’t hold out much hope of taking three points from a venue that has not seen an away win since April 2015.
Although Tuchel will have half an eye on the Champions League game at the Bernabeu next week, he will want to make full use of the amply talented squad available to him as Dortmund seek to maintain pressure on the top teams. Dortmund has been a goal-friendly venue in recent times: eight of the last 10 league games there have seen over 2.5 goals, and Dortmund themselves have scored at least twice in 18 of 21 home games since the start of last season excluding against Bayern.
Monchengladbach have had a miserable time in front of goal in recent away fixtures, failing to find the net in their last three outings on the road, and they have not won any of their last six games against top-half teams, while Dortmund have kept clean sheets against Schalke and Bayern in their last two here. All this makes us think that 2.95 is a great price for a Dortmund win to nil.
