Borussia Monchengladbach v Manchester City – Wednesday 19:45, BT Sport 2

Man City put four past Monchengladbach at the Etihad in their first group game in mid-September, and they will be hoping for a repeat when they face them this Wednesday in Germany. Borussia are the underdogs in this tie, but a win against City at home would keep them in with a slim chance of qualifying for the knockout stages.

Gladbach have looked poor in recent games across all competitions: a loss at home to rivals Köln in the Bundesliga after taking the lead early on will have stung, and a failure to get on the scoresheet in five of their last nine games will concern gaffer Andre Schubert. By contrast, Man City have enjoyed two away wins on the bounce (as well as a tempestuous 3-1 home win against Barca) after a run of four road games without a victory.

In their last 12 group games away at German teams, English sides have gone W7-D1-L4, and five of those seven victories have been to nil. However, City have struggled for clean sheets this season, particularly on the road as West Brom were the only side to fail to score against them in their last 10 away. We think the bookies are overpricing the Man City win to nil, so Man City and Both Teams To Score looks long at 3.25.
