PSG can emerge from Wednesday's Emirates clash with their unbeaten CL record intact.
Arsenal v PSG – Wednesday 19:45, BT Sport Europe
A come-from-behind victory at Ludogorets last time out in the Champions League saw Arsenal progress safely to the knockout stages of the competition, and they now face PSG, who are their rivals for the top spot in Group A. It took a late strike from Alexis Sanchez for Arsenal to rescue a point against the Parisians when the two sides met in France, and Arsene Wenger will be aware of the challenge facing an under-strength Arsenal squad when they host PSG this Wednesday.
Arsenal face availability problems, as both Mertesacker and Bellerin are ruled out from the back line and Cazorla’s Achilles problem continues to bother him. Likewise, Di Maria’s weekend goal against Nantes for PSG came shortly before he hobbled off with a hamstring complaint that is likely to rule him out, meaning that both teams are without one of their key playmakers. Both sides have performed reasonably well since they met in September, but in both cases wins have tended to be against comparatively weak sides, and Arsenal in particular will be worried by unconvincing draws against Manchester United and Spurs in the league recently.
This is a tough one to call, and we think both sides will play cautiously in the absence of key players. That being said, unbeaten visiting teams with at least two group wins have won seven of the last 11 European games in England at this stage of the competition, so we’re going for PSG Draw No Bet.
