PSV have not lost on the road in over a year and more points await them this Saturday.
Willem II v PSV – Saturday 18:45, Sky Interactive
Willem II’s victory against Groningen in the last week of October was their first home win in the league since December 2015, and they are just one point off the bottom of the table. Champions PSV will be making the short trip north-west expecting to take home three points and keep the pressure on the two teams above them at the top of the Eredivisie.
The biggest struggle for Willem II has been scoring goals at home: they’ve scored just three in Tilburg since the first day of the season, and two of those came in the win against Groningen. With Guus Joppen recovering from a groin injury slower than the club would like and Dico Koppers and Branco van den Boomen picking up knocks in the last league game that could hamper them this weekend, they will be braced for a tough game against a side they did well to hold to a draw at home last season. PSV have a lengthy list of injury worries to contend with, as Jorrit Hendrix and the influential Guardado will be missing from midfield and Davy Propper will have to pass a late test after playing before fully fit last week.
PSV have not lost on the road since September 2015, and as they’ve won both halves in four of their six away games this season, we fancy them to overcome injury worries and win both halves here too. PSV have won the second half in six of their last eight matches where they led at the break.
