Barca can't afford many more slip-ups after last week's defeat so Leganes could be in trouble.
Leganes v Barcelona - Saturday 12:00, Sky Sports 5
Barcelona proved that their home defeat to newly promoted Alaves was somewhat of an anomaly by humiliating Celtic 7-0 in the Champions League as their big guns returned to the starting line-up. Crucially though, they’re now three points behind Real and can’t afford any more slips ups during these early stages of the season.
Leganes held an under-performing Atletico side 0-0 in their first ever home game in the top flight but it would be regarded as a minor miracle if they were to do the same against the Catalan giants. We can’t see Luis Enrique making the same mistake twice against a promoted team so don’t be surprised to see Messi, Suarez and Neymar all start.
Barca have won all six road matches against promoted sides under Enrique. Four of the victories were by a margin of fewer than three goals but the other two were 4-0 and 8-0 triumphs. They took no prisoners against Celtic and unfortunately for Leganes, we imagine they won’t do so again here so we’re going to back Barcelona -3 on the handicap.
