Valencia v Atletico Madrid - Sunday 11:00, Sky Sports 5

Having lost their opening four games and their last seven going back to the end of last season, Valencia have since managed wins over promoted sides Alaves and Leganes. However, they’ll face a much tougher test here against an Atletico sides that proved themselves to be as tenacious as ever with a 1-1 draw at the Nou Camp and a 1-0 win at home to Bayern in recent weeks.

Despite that win over Alaves, Valencia have lost seven of their last 10 at home as they continue to struggle defensively, with just one clean sheet in their last 17 at the Mestalla. When hosting the top four they were W0-D2-L2 last term as they managed draws against Barca and Real, but were beaten by Atletico and Villarreal.

Atletico have conceded only two goals so far this season, while they conceded just three times in their six trips to sides between 8th and 13th last term as they won five of these games. With that in mind, Simeone’s men look an excellent price to win at 1.95 and we’re also going to back them to continue their excellent defensive record and win to nil.
