Rennes v Guingamp - Friday 19:45, BT Sport ESPN

Rennes have won all three of their home games this term but have picked up just one point from their four road games to leave themselves in 11th, after they finished 8th last term. They should have ended up higher as they were 4th with six games to go, but five defeats saw them slip down the table. Guingamp, meanwhile, are 8th, having finished 16th last term, as Antoine Kombouare has had a solid start to his spell in charge.

Rennes were in fact better on the road than at home last term and though they’ve already won three times at home, their victories have come against sides that are currently in the bottom eight. Indeed, four of their six home wins last season were against bottom-seven sides with Guingamp one of the exceptions as they lost 3-0 against them.

Guingamp have won two of their last three trips to Rennes and given their impressive start to the season, it’s worth siding with them to win and make it three out of four. Rennes look on the short side at 2.1 for the victory as the form of their three home wins so far looks to have been overrated and Guingamp should provide them with a tougher test, having managed a draw at Monaco and a comfy win over Nancy on the road this term.
