Goals and plenty of action are the order of the day for this big Friday night game
Chelsea host Liverpool this evening in what promises to be a fascinating game as both teams look to send a message to the rest of the Premier League. Both are full of confidence, the home side still unbeaten this term and looking more like a Chelsea side we have become accustom to in recent years. Despite one blip, Liverpool have produced some beautiful football going forward, playing a typical Jurgen Klopp high tempo, high pressure style and have put four past Arsenal and Leicester already this season.
Excluding a 1-0 in a pre-season friendly, all the signs from this season indicate a potential goal fest. Chelsea have skipper John Terry out injured and are yet to score less than two in a Premier League game under Conte whilst the visitors have scored a hatful themselves, their defensive line still looks vulnerable. Seven out of the eight games these two have played this year have featured over 2.5 goals which may well be the way to go with this one at 11/9. If you really fancy a goal fest, over 4.5 is 9/2.
Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Eden Hazard and Diego Costa have all looked in great form this season which has prompted Oddschecker users to stake heavily on the first goal scorer market. Currently priced:
|Diego Costa||Eden Hazard||Roberto Firmino||Sadio Mane|
|First Goalscorer Odds||5/1||7/1||7/1||8/1|
So will it be the defensive style of Antonio Conte or the more aggressive one of Jurgen Klopp that takes the spoils at the Bridge?
