The Hammers look a shrewd bet to take all three points from Sunday's trip to Goodison.
Everton v West Ham - Sunday 13:30, Sky Sports 1
A few weeks ago this game would have seemed like a home banker, but the form of these two sides has dramatically swung in the intervening period. After an impressive unbeaten start to the season where Everton won five of their six matches across all competitions, they have now failed to win in five games, losing three. West Ham meanwhile are now unbeaten in four and have won three on the trot, impressively dumping Chelsea out of the League Cup midweek.
Everton had most of the ball but no end product away to Burnley in their last game, starting brightly before fading and both goals they conceded came against the run of play. Everton’s home form has been better as they’re unbeaten so far having beaten Stoke and Boro. However, both those sides are struggling and it’s worth noting that five of Everton’s six home wins last season came against bottom-five sides.
Though West Ham only narrowly avoid that category at the moment, they’ve recorded three successive victories since Slaven Bilic introduced a back three, despite the fact that they’re still yet to play to their best. They had to wait until injury-time to get their goal against Sunderland last week but are now outside the relegation zone and can look up the table rather than down. With Everton’s declining form, this game may have arrived at just the right moment for West Ham and we think at a price of 4.75 they’re excellent value to win .
