Liverpool can wear down the Hornets in the second period of Sunday's TV clash at Anfield.
Liverpool v Watford - Sunday 14:15, Sky Sports 1
Liverpool put four past Crystal Palace last week and extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches across all competitions, winning eight of their last nine. Questions will be asked of the defence once more, but they dominated throughout at Selhurst Park where they created a host of chances and thoroughly deserved the win. Their forward movement was phenomenal, and it is hard to imagine the goals drying up for Klopp's side anytime soon. They've scored 19 goals in their last seven league matches, with nine different goalscorers getting in on the action.
Watford managed to beat Hull last week without even managing a single shot on target, but the victory moves them up to 7th in the table nonetheless as Walter Mazzarri has done an impressive job so far. There were plenty of goals in their early games this season, but they've since tightened up at the back with three consecutive clean sheets. However, each of these were against sides in the bottom-half of the table and against top-four teams they tend to struggle; losing each of their last eight, drawing the first half in six of these games.
We're expecting Liverpool to attack right from the start. Watford will seek to keep them at bay for as long as possible and then hit them on the counter. Jose Holebas and Nordin Amrabat are going to have a tiresome afternoon tracking the runs of Liverpool's full-backs, and they are going to be required to get forward as well as tucking in when Watford don't have the ball. With Watford's improved defensive performance of late, we think the value lies in backing them to hold out until half-time before succumbing to defeat in the half-time/full-time market at 4.6.
