Rangers have conceded in six of their last eight away games.
Partick Thistle v Rangers – Saturday 12:15, Sky Sports 1
Partick Thistle will be hoping to make use of the game in hand they have on relegation rivals, Dundee and Kilmarnock, as they host a Rangers side sitting third, 11 points behind Old Firm rivals Celtic. After a trip to Motherwell last weekend during which they looked toothless, Partick will be after a return to winning ways against Rangers, who have looked unconvincing in the league but remain unbeaten in their last six league clashes.
The continued absence of Dumbuya, Bannigan, and Cerny for Thistle is not good news for a side that has shipped 10 goals in its last six home league matches. They lost 2-0 at Rangers when these two sides met at the beginning of October to continue a trend that has seen Thistle fail to beat Rangers in the league for the last 23 years. Last weekend Rangers were frustrated by the excellent goalkeeping of Dundee’s Scott Bain, and after only managing a late goal last weekend they will almost certainly benefit from an inexperienced Partick back-line that faces the daunting prospect of Kenny Miller and Joe Garner bearing down on them.
Rangers have conceded in six of their last eight away games, but we think they’ll be too strong for a weakened Partick Thistle side, so we’re backing Rangers/BTTS.
