Football Form Labs have two strong fancies for this relegation candidate v title contender clash
Empoli v Juventus - Sunday 11:30, BT Sport Europe
Empoli have had a poor start to the season as they’ve lost four of their first six to leave themselves down in 18th. They’ve managed just two goals so far and both of those came against bottom of the league Crotone. At the other end of the table, Juve have bounced back from a defeat at Inter to win their last two and they were also comfortable 4-0 winners in Zagreb in midweek.
Empoli’s home record is W8-D6-L8 since the start of last season but when hosting top-four teams they’re just W1-D1-L7 since 2014/15. They failed to score in four of these games and also trailed at the break in the last four, though none of their defeats were by more than two goals.
The defeat at Inter was Juve’s second in their last four road games but they won four of five unbeaten trips to sides between 11th and 15th last term. They led at the break in each of their victories and conceded only two goals in these games. With that in mind, we’re backing Juve to Win to Nil and Juve/Juve Half Time Full Time.
