An unpredictable Inter side can return to winning ways on Sunday afternoon.
Inter v Cagliari – Sunday 14:00, BT Sport Europe
After an impressive run of three consecutive wins, which included a 2-1 triumph over Juventus, Inter Milan have hit another road block with just one point from their last two plus a heavy defeat in Europe. They return to the San Siro and welcome a Cagliari side that are a respectable 10th on their return to Serie A following three victories in their last four.
It must be noted that all 10 of Cagliari’s points this season have come at home, so there’s certainly an opportunity for this inconsistent Inter side to get back to on track. Their recent record at the San Siro is good, winning eight of their last 11, while their record when hosting promoted sides since 2012/13 reads W9-D3-L0, though they kept just four clean sheets in these games.
Frank De Boer’s side are certainly unpredictable at the moment but given their strong record against promoted teams and Cagliari’s poor away form, we think they’ll pick up all three points. They’ve kept just one clean sheet all season and one in their last 10 at home, while Juve are the only side to prevent Cagliari from finding the net this season, so Inter to win and both teams to score looks the best bet.
