The Milan derby is likely to be a tight affair on Sunday night so don't expect a glut of goals.
AC Milan v Inter Milan – Sunday 19:45, BT Sport 2
As ever the Milanese derby should be a fiercely contested affair on Sunday evening. And it’ll mark a first game in charge for Inter’s latest boss, Stefano Pioli. Milan are the designated home side and come into the game with all the momentum having won five of their last six matches while Inter have lost four of their last six. However, the international break will have been a far more welcome week away for Inter’s players and when it comes to the quality at their disposal the away side arguably have the more talented squad which is reflected by their higher finish in each of the past three seasons.
The derby has tended to be a tight affair in recent times, with eight of the 10 since 2011/12 having fewer than three goals and six having fewer than two. In particular, the opening meeting of the season has been very low scoring, with the last six years seeing just seven goals in total as five finished 1-0 and the other ended 1-1.
As such Under 1.5 Goals at 3.4 is worth a bet. The half-time draw is also worth a punt as four of Milan’s last five home games have been level at the break and 13 of the 17 goals in their six home matches this season have come after the break. With just two first-half goals in the six derbies during the past three seasons 2.1 for things to be level at the break looks an excellent price.Bet £10 Get £20
