Inter look a spot of value to take something from Friday's TV clash with Napoli.
Napoli v Inter Milan – Friday 19:45, BT Sport Europe
Inter Milan look to put a run of four without an away win in the league to an end when they travel to Naples on Friday evening. Napoli were stunned in the last 10 minutes of regular time on Monday when Gregoire Defrel’s spectacular volley earned Sassuolo the draw, and they will hope to extend the gap between them and Inter from four to seven points when they clash at Stadio San Paolo on Friday.
Monday saw a nervy Inter performance at home against Fiorentina, in which the hosts went up 3-0 in the first 20 minutes before slipping back to 3-2 up against a 10-man Fiorentina, after which they finally secured the 4-2 win, their first under new boss Stefano Pioli. They have gone W1-D2-L7 in their last 10 away matches against top-half teams, and they were down at the half in five of those seven losses. By contrast, Napoli have lost only one of their last 14 games at home against top-half opposition, and six of the nine wins they’ve recorded in that stretch have been by more than two goals.
However, there are reasons for Inter to be optimistic. Since Milik suffered a serious injury Napoli have looked very ordinary in attack and they’ve now won just one of their last six at home in all competitions. They’ve also conceded last in seven of their last eight Serie A matches and with Inter scoring last-gasp goals in each of their last three as they look to impress their new boss we expect the away side to get something. With Napoli struggling to hold onto leads we’ll take Napoli/Draw on the Half-Time/Full-Time market at 17.
