ROLL IT OUT(best price 5/1) ran a Herculean race in a similar contest at Naas last time out and rates a decent bet to confirm the impression he created that afternoon. Set a big task given how the race panned out at the Co Kildare venue, Gordon Elliot’s charge made up a tremendous amount of ground in the latter stages of an extremely strongly run affair and this sound stayer should be more at home over an extra three furlongs on the evidence of that display.

ST DOMINICK(best price 7/2) impressed with the way he travelled on his seasonal return over C&D and even though he has to race off a 7lb higher mark, the Oscar gelding still makes plenty of appeal in this much weaker-looking contest. In a race run at a sound pace throughout, Jackie Du Plessis’ charge was always looking the most likely winner despite being a 28/1 chance and even though he narrowly failed to get the better of the well-backed Wizard’s Bridge, the fact that the pair pulled well clear of the rest suggest no only the form is worth following, but he was just a shade unlucky to bump into such a well handicapped rival tuned to the minute. Sure to be all the better for that outing and proven under testing conditions, he clearly has plenty in his favour.
