Brian Baugh's charge rates a decent bet to roll back the years in the 6f handicap.
LADY FANDANGO (best price 4/1)
has certainly done enough in her fledgling career to suggest she’s capable of winning a race or two and today might just be the day those beliefs are realised. Following a couple of promising efforts over a mile on home soil at Dundalk, she first dipped her toe into handicap company when upped in trip over today’s C&D last time out. As it panned out, the pedestrian early gallop which allowed the race to develop into a sprint probably didn’t suit Gordon Elliot’s charge and she is well worth another chance in the hope the race is run at a more even tempo on this occasion.

Although GET READY FREDDY’s (best price 7/1)
form figures don’t appear too awe-inspiring, there have been several glimmers of light at the end of the tunnel and he’s certainly done enough to suggest he can be at least competitive in a race of this modest nature. Nick Mitchell’s charge set a decent pace before being engulfed by the useful Westren Warrior in the latter stages of a 2m 3f maiden hurdle at Lingfield two starts ago and if it wasn’t for a bad mistake four out at Warwick last time out, he may have fared better than his final finishing position suggests. Given he’s a free-going sort, the son of Sixties Icon is likely to gain a potentially easy lead up front, and as today’s opposition is the weakest he’s faced so far to date, he might just be good to maintain the advantage.

HEAD SPACE (best price 3/1)
seems to have taken over a new lease of life since joining Brian Baugh and looks poised to strike on the evidence of his last two starts. The first of those outings gave signal that the eight-year-old could take advantage of a tumbling handicap mark when just run out of the argument in the dying strides by the in-form Royal Normandy over this C&D. The son of Invincible Spirit ran well in the circumstances after blowing the start on his most recent out at Lingfield and providing he can break a little more alertly on this occasion, he has obvious claims of rolling back the years.
