Four live races from the Roodee on CH4 this afternoon and Sam Turner has the best bets.
A tricky opener but SOUND ADVICE
(Best price 6-1) could be ready to find some form again now that he returns to his favourite track. His stable has sent out a glut of winners lately and he is defending an unbeaten record on the Roodee having won both of his starts last summer..
Gabrial’s Kaka and Perfect Pastime also appear likely to run huge races. The former was badly hampered at Haydock last time and that run is worth scratching, while Perfect Pastime caught the eye keeping on tidily late on in a competitive Goodwood handicap on Saturday.
Sound Advice - 0.5pt e/w @ 7/1
There appears a prospect of a genuine pace here with a number of prominent racers in the field. That should suit LINGUISTIC
(Best price 15-8) who was a little keen early on in his Newmarket return when landing a valuable sales race.
If he is in the same form, this race looks within his compass as he is progressing well. The two Aidan O’Brien runners, Cook Islands and Housesofparliament (good Dundalk winner last time), look major threats with Ryan Moore preferring the former who appeared to get stuck in the Leopardstown mud last time.

An excellent renewal with Dartmouth likely to be at the head of the market following his Chelmsford romp in Group Three company at Chelmsford. That race may have fallen apart a little late on though with favourite Batallion not getting home and WICKLOW BRAVE
(Best price 7-2) could be the answer in this with the first time hood applied.
Second in an Ebor last season, the selection wound up a good flat campaign with a fine third in an Ascot Group Two last autumn and should enjoy this test and drying ground.
Now that Tom Dascombe has a winner on the Chester scoresheet, there could be increased confidence in Cymro who won with something to spare at Thirsk.
Wicklow Brave - 1pt @ 7/2
(Best price 3-1) will be popular given his prominent running style and draw in stall one. He helped to contribute to a strong speed figure at Thirsk last time before fading and appears to have been teed up for this event.
(Best price 14-1) was only a length behind the selection when they met here in September and is unlikely to be unfit given his connections love winners at this meeting. He was pulled out of a race yesterday when the draw looked an awkward obstacle to overcome and that could prove a masterstroke by his handler.
Gracious John has an abundance of talent but could find himself in the racecourse bars if he hangs badly again off the home turn like he did at Chelmsford, while Kachy returns to sprinting but can’t afford to be dozy from the boxes.
El Astronaute - 1pt @ 3/1
Powerallied - 0.5pt @ 12/1
