The unbeaten Broncos go to Tampa looking to continue their good form. They look like covering the field goal spread comfortably in the late game on Sunday.
Denver Broncos at Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Sunday 21:05, Sky Sports 2
The 1-2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the 3-0 Denver Broncos in Sunday night’s late live offering by Sky Sports. In last week’s home loss to the L.A. Rams a weather delay for lightning was about as exciting as it got for the Bucs fans. They started the year with a win at divisional rivals Atlanta but since then have conceded 40 and 37 points in losses to Arizona and Los Angeles respectively.
Plenty suggested the current Super Bowl champs the Broncos would regress this year having had problems finding a QB successor to Peyton Manning, eventually settling on a 7th round pick called Trevor Siemian. Indeed, they have been underdogs in two of their three matches so far and have responded by beating Carolina, Indianapolis and Cincinnati.
Tampa QB Jameis Winston has struggled against pressure this year and the Broncos defense is sure to bring plenty of that as they lead the NFL in sacks with 12 already. Denver QB Siemian is just doing enough to ensure his mistakes are limited and not costing the team wins. At some point he will probably cost his team a game but facing a poor Tampa defense this week we'd be very surprised if it was here.
Take Denver to win by the current -3 on offer, we think they win more comfortably than that so alternative lines at bigger prices are also in play.
