Defenses look like they might come out on top in the big Monday night game.
New York Giants at Minnesota Vikings – Tuesday 01:30, Sky Sports 1
One of the few NFL teams with a 100% record so far are on our screens for Monday night football when the 3-0 Minnesota Vikings welcome the New York Giants.
First the Vikings lost starting Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater for the season leading some to question how well they'd do. They rectified that by signing polarising QB Sam Bradford from the Eagles and he's performed well so far, especially at home. Then, possibly the NFLs best running back Adrian Peterson went down and again doubts emerged.
Those questions have been emphatically answered by the Vikings defense in wins at home to the Packers and away to last year’s runners up the Panthers. This is probably the best performing defense in the NFL right now and there’s no reason to think that won't continue Monday night.
The Giants are hard to work out - they've struggled AND performed on both of sides of the ball at times this season. The defense is showing a lot of good signs and it'll need to match the Vikings to keep this game close.
Under the points total appeals to us here as both defenses can dominate in the big one on Monday night.
