Defensively strong Eagles can cover their points line in Sunday's live TV game.
Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins – Sunday 18:00, Sky Sports 2
Sky Sports first offering of live NFL on Sunday night comes from the capital as the Washington Redskins host fellow NFC East dwellers the Philadelphia Eagles. These two divisional rivals know each other pretty well but this will be the Skins first look at Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz. Wentz and the Eagles got off to a very impressive start, winning their first three matches against the Browns, Bears and Steelers, but in typical NFL style they were brought back down to earth; losing a one-point game to the Lions in round four.
After starting the season with two defeats and facing rumours of dressing room discontent, the Redskins have since recovered to win three on the bounce. The much maligned Skins defense finally showed up big last week in the win at Baltimore allowing only 10 points against them and a similar performance will be needed here to keep Wentz and co at bay.
Skins quarterback Kirk Cousins played pretty well in last week’s win but he tends to make mistakes against the NFL’s stronger defences of which the Eagles are certainly one of. The Eagles total points line is 23.5 this week and that looks a little low to us.
