Monday night football features two sides that have won just three between them so far.
New York Jets at Arizona Cardinals – Tuesday 01:30, Sky Sports 1
Monday night football this week offers us the chance to see two teams that have just three wins between them in eight games as the Arizona Cardinals host the New York Jets. We did see the Cardinals last week in Thursday night football as they defeated the 49ers by 33-21 in San Francisco.
The Jets lost their third match in a row last week in a heavy 31-13 defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers and head coach Todd Bowles needs a win fast as he goes up against his former employers in Arizona. The Jets have had a tough start schedule wise and the Cardinals are the fifth playoff team they will have faced after losing to the previous four.
At the start of the year Arizona were considered contenders for the Super Bowl but so far they’ve looked anything but that. They welcome back quarterback Carson Palmer from injury on Monday night and that is a big bonus for the home side as the Jets defense lets on average about 300 yards passing per match. With a few days extra rest than the Jets, playing at home and the Jets travelling cross country we can’t see anything but a Cardinals win here. Take them to win by 13-18 and pile more misery on the Jets season.
