Two strong defensive units go head-to-head in Sunday's live 6pm clash on Sky Sports.
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants – Sunday 18:00, Sky Sports 2
A huge game kicks off Sunday’s live NFL action as the (4-3) Philadelphia Eagles travel to fellow NFC East rivals the (4-3) New York Giants. This is probably the most competitive division in the NFL right now and with the Eagles losing against the Dallas Cowboys last week they can’t afford another divisional loss with a current record of 0-2.
The Giants are coming off a bye but had won their two previous games going into that so with some rest they’ll be confident of putting up another good performance. The Giants strength used to be their offense with Eli Manning at quarterback and Odell Beckham at wide receiver but this year it’s been a bit of a struggle as they average less than 20 points per game. Their defence though, has improved dramatically.
The Eagles defence has also been solid all season and they’re near the top pf the rankings in yards and points gained against them, which bodes well against a Giants offence that just can’t seem to run the ball at the moment. With two strong defensive units going head to head, backing the total points spread seem a sensible option.
