Dallas Cowboys at Pittsburgh Steelers – Sunday 21:25, Sky Sports 2
Two of the top five in the Superbowl betting will meet in Sunday’s second live NFL game when the Dallas Cowboys travel north to face the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers lost two games in a row following an injury to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, but he was rushed back ahead of schedule to start last week’s away fixture against the Ravens. This aggressive strategy backfired, and the offence struggled to handle the Baltimore defence in the 14-21 loss.
The Steelers’ chances of success against a resurgent Cowboys team depend strongly on how much Roethlisberger has recuperated this week. The Cowboys’ 35-10 defeat of the perennially hapless Cleveland Browns last time out tells us little about how they are likely to fare against another AFC North team, but it is a surprise to see them marked as underdogs against a team with an ailing quarterback that has lost three on the bounce.
No team has scored more than 25 points against the Cowboys so far this year and with Pittsburgh’s problems not yet cleared up, backing the Cowboys at odds against seems a worthy bet.
