New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers – Friday 01:25, Sky Sports 1

A NFC South match-up kicks off this week’s live NFL action as the Carolina Panthers host the New Orleans Saints. Both these teams have losing records so far and while it might not be a surprise in New Orleans it's a major shock for last year's Super Bowl runners-up.

The Panthers have struggled all season to their current record of three wins to six losses and find themselves bottom of the division just nine months after playing in the Super Bowl. A late defeat at home to the Chiefs last week has left them three wins off the playoff places and if they still harbour any hopes of making it then a win at home to a divisional rival this week is a must.

The Saints haven't fared much better with their 4-5 record and last week lost in bizarre fashion at home to the Denver Broncos. Tying the game with less than two minutes to go the conversion kick to take the lead was blocked and returned all the way to their own end zone to give Denver the win.

The Saints strength is their offense and with the Panthers having injuries on defense another high scoring affair could be in store. These teams met four weeks ago in a 41-38 shootout win for the Saints and a high line of 52 could still prove to be on the low side on Thursday night.
