Dallas can cover the points spread in Thursday's clash with the Redskins.
Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys - Thursday 21:30, Sky Sports 1
Thanksgiving Thursday’s second live offering of NFL action comes from Dallas as the Washington Redskins travel for a divisional match up against the Cowboys. Just like the Detroit Lions, it’s tradition for the Cowboys to be at home on Thanksgiving and they will have been every year since 1966 as they settle down for turkey and pumpkin pie across the Atlantic.
This scheduling has been very tough on the Redskins; the recovery time in one of the most demanding sports around is very important and they come to Dallas on Thursday having finished their previous game against the Packers at around midnight on Sunday! Head coach Jay Gruden has made his protests known about this, but the Skins can’t afford to let this affect them against a Cowboys side that have just broken their franchises eight consecutive wins record.
Dallas and their two rookie stars on offence just keep rolling week after week and given they played at home last week, whereas the Redskins are travelling on short recovery time, the Cowboys can be considered very worthy favourites here. We expected a line of 7.5 so are happy to take Dallas -6.5 in this one.
