Arizona could struggle to contain a Falcons side that have been red-hot on the road this season.
Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons – Sunday 18:00, SS2
This Sunday’s first live NFL action comes from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta as the Arizona Cardinals travel cross country to face off against the Falcons. It looks like Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians will be on the sideline to lead his team despite being hospitalized this week with chest pains for the second time this season.
It’s been a bad season for the Cardinals so far compared to pre-season expectations and if they are to have any chance of making the playoffs they’ll pretty much have to win every game from here on out and even then it might not be enough.
For the Falcons the opposite is true, they’ve defied pre-season Super Bowl odds of 50/1 and although they can still be backed at 22/1 that might be generous for a team with an offense that can strike hot at any time. They’ve won seven of their 11 games so far and in quarterback Matt Ryan have one of the MVP candidates leading the team.
We have to fancy the Falcons here coming off a bye week at home and over the total Falcons points line of 27.5 appeals most of all.
