Carolina Panthers at Oakland Raiders – Sunday 21:25, SS2
Sunday night’s second live NFL match comes from Oakland in California where the Raiders await the Carolina Panthers from their near 3000 mile journey across the country!
It’s been a poor season for the Panthers so far this time round after making the Super Bowl last year and it’s been especially poor on the road. To date they’ve won just one away game and it won’t be easy playing a Raiders team that has been performing at a high level since the season began.
Oakland fans will enjoy being back at home on Sunday after last week’s “home” victory against the Houston Texans was played in Mexico City. If you take that Texans game out of the equation then the Raiders, who currently lead the AFC West with a record of 8-2, surprisingly don’t have a winning record at home as they’ve won two and lost two in Oakland so far. They are however on a four game winning streak and quarterback Derek Carr has been widely regarded as the best in the league this season.
Despite the Panthers struggles they are still thought of highly enough that the point spread here is only three points and they will want to push for the playoffs as long as they can. This should be a close game so therefore we’ll take a chance on the Panthers to win outright at odds against.
