Flying filly Sunlight is clearly the punters pick for Saturday’s Group One Black Caviar Lightning Stakes (1000 metres).

Returning to the scene of her greatest triumph, Sunlight heads into the race first-up since beating a crack field in the Coolmore Stud Stakes back on November 3 last year.

Seven of the 11 runners are first-up and Sunlight has won fresh in the past, however, last time she was first-up she ran into Nature Strip and was handled by 5.9 lengths in the Lightning Stakes at Morphettville.

TAB customers are coming for her though and she is clearly the most popular runner at $3.90. She is responsible for just under half the market at this point with Osborne Bulls the next best supported at $6.50.

Interestingly, Jedastar hasn’t had much specking yet at $13. The juvenile with just two career starts comes into the race with the featherweight of 44kgs but showed plenty of dash when leading in a Blue Diamond Preview when second to Catch Me.
