Series 8 will begin with the youngest surviving Stark sibling, the Three-Eyed Raven, saying the opening line of the first episode. If you’re not a fan of Euron Greyjoy you’ll be pleased, as he will be the first character to meet his maker.

Cersei Lannister will die (in episode 5 or 6), and it will be her brother/ex-lover Jaime that will be the man to do the honours. Excellent.

Of course, she won’t be the only one to go. The body count will be soaring in the final series so prepare yourself for the deaths of Euron Greyjoy, Jorah Mormont, Beric Dondarrion, Lord Varys, Jaime Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Melisandre, The Hound, Grey Worm, Theon Greyjoy, Podrick Payne and the diminutive Tyrion Lannister. Samwell Tarly is one of the few left standing.

One of Daenerys’ dragons is already gone and I hate to tell you this, but all three will be vanquished before the end of the series. So enjoy them whilst you can. Dracarys.

The last we saw, the White Walkers were pulverising the wall and storming south and yes, they WILL reach King’s Landing. Fear not, however, as the Night King will be stopped in his tracks. Everyone’s favourite bastard Jon Snow will kill him.

Finally, after eight series of blood, nudity and power struggles, the one who will be sat on the Iron Throne ruling Westeros at the very end will be the same boy who was thrown out of a window in the first ever episode. Bran Stark.
