Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Next up, I’m looking at the Panthers who are going to Tampa to take on the struggling Bucs. Carolina needs to keep winning: I don’t think the new-ish management will take missing out on the Playoffs very well, and that could have implications for Ron Rivera.

That loss to the Seahawks was a heartbreaker for them – But this is a nice game to get back on track, against a Bucs defence that can’t stop anybody. With the weapons that Cam Newton has and the continuing performances of Christian McCaffrey, I can see a healthy win here for the Panthers.

The line has mostly been set at three points. Back the road team.

Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins

Finally, the Bills play the Dolphins and this is a classic rivalry, although both teams have known better times.

It’s a game that to me looks like one of those old-fashioned contest that ends up 17-10, with both defences getting stops and both offences getting stuffed.

Neither of these sides moves the ball very well and you can get over/under 40 total points, which would be the lowest standard line of all the games this week. I’m not going to be picking winners here, all I’m saying is you take the under line.

Chicago Bears @ New York Giants

What’s up everyone, great to be talking to you guys again and to be filming for Oddschecker with NFL Talk UK. Look forward to a lot more stuff between now and the end of the season.

It’s getting to the business end of the season and with no more byes, there’s so much to keep track of and we should have some amazing games in store.

Expect them to be high-scoring too. We’ve seen so many teams stack up big numbers week after week, and it’s because defence just isn’t key anymore. The influence of a younger group of Co-Ordinators means we are seeing things from college football and the CFL, rather than the NFL influencing the rest.

It’s all combining to make a product that is entertaining, and much more offensive based.

Having said all that, there’s one D that’s standing out from the rest and that’s the Chicago Bears. They’ve got that 3-4 defence which fits Khalil Mack like a glove, and he is going to be so important for them down the stretch. Their secondary is playing much better than some people thought they would, and they showed their ability to win ‘tough’ when they beat the Bears on Thanksgiving.

I think they will have way too much for the Giants this weekend, they are playing like a team with a 3-8 record. Last week they had an eight-minute stretch where Barkley and Beckham didn’t touch the ball once: You’re going to find it hard to win games if that’s happening. Back the Bears to win well.
