Hawthorn to beat West Coast. Hawthorn loving playing at the G, the ground suites their game hence why they're favourites to win their third straight flag. The added space at the G makes it find it very hard to defend, something the Eagles will struggle to do this weekend just like the Bulldogs did in their last final.
This game could turn out like Hawks game versus the Crows a few weeks back when they taught Adelaide a lesson at the G. The massive playing field made it hard for the Crows to stop Hawthorn. The Hawks have so many big game players, if just a few of them perform near their best then they'll get over the line where as the Eagles are relying on a few big names to put in season best performances. Josh Kennedy will need to be on fire for the Eagles to have any chance, the Coleman winner only kicked three in the qualifying final, which won't be good enough in the final.
I don't expect this game to go anything like the qualifying final, a game which the Hawks were pretty awful in. They'll have learnt their lesson and be warned about getting complacent. They welcome back a key man in Gunston, however Hartung was pretty stiff not to play another final.
The experience the Hawks boys will be invaluable, so many of them have plenty of finals experience unlike the Eagles. Holding your nerve is so important in big games like this.
Hawks are clear faves and they deserve this, they'll get the job done!
Both teams will come out giving everything, it's in the second half when I expect the Hawks to pull away and utilize the extra space at the G. They'll win and win comfortably in the end, winning by 36+ points.
Norm Smith Medal
Sam Mitchell was pretty stiff to not get closer to winning the Brownlow, especially after the AFL shop cock-up. Which I hope you didn't get fooled by. He will put this disappointed behind him and become the third Hawthorn winner in a row of the Norm Smith. He's currently $6, but can better value with Betfair exchange.
The Norm Smith comes hand in hand with most disposals for Sam Mitchell, if he wins one he'll win the other. One bookie is offering $2.75, well worth getting on.
Jarryd Roughead to kick the first! Make sure you get the best odds he's $11 with one bookie and $8 another!
