Sydney Swans v North Melbourne

North Melbourne won’t make it a perfect ten on Friday Night, they’ve made an unbelievable start to the season, but haven’t yet faced a real challenge. You’d be p****d if a team challenging for finals struggled to account for Brisbane, Melbourne, Saints and the Blues. The next few games will make-or-break their season, they face Swans, Tigers, Cats, Hawks, Crows and the Eagles in their next six. Looks a good time to book a six week break North fans….

Friday Night Footy will once again be a belter, Sydney are yet to lose at home and have posted over 90 points every time they’ve played at the SCG, including the demolition of the Pies and Bombers. I expected to see points galore when they shaped up against Hawks last Friday, even though they let the #fevolution down and didn’t register the goals, they got the job done and will take heaps from the victory. They’re a serious outfit, Buddy has stated he’s hungrier than ever, which is showing as he starts to pull away in the Coleman charts. Will he kick the 100? He’s a serious chance, but you’ve got to be a gun to kick 99 let alone 100…

On paper I don’t think North can compete with Sydney’s forwards, however the Kangaroos old timers have turned back the clocks this season. "Benjamin Button" Waite’s going from strength to strength, plus both Brown and Petrie are causing all headaches for defenders. However, midfield battle will be very one-sided, Hannebery, Kennedy and Parker are just too good.

Expect the Swans to burst out the blocks and steal an early lead, North will struggle to claw the points back. Get on Sydney to win at $1.45, which might drift before the bounce. If you’re feeling a bit more risky (it is payday Friday after all), then Swans to lead every quarter is your bet at $2.25.

Josh Kennedy has been somewhat overshadowed by Hannebery and Parker, the latter both getting backed in for the Brownlow after every round. However Kennedy has produced some vintage performances this season, he’s recorded 30+ disposals three times including that masterclass against the Bombers. Back him to have over 30+ at $1.76 tonight!
