Collingwood v Port Adelaide
The Magpies have turned around their sluggish start, they smashed the Lions, accounted for the Cats and pushed the Bulldogs. But, once again they’ve ran into more injury concerns, they could even put a man on the interchange bench last week.
Port are a team I’ve got used to letting me down, when they play well they’re a handful for any opponent but gee, when they play bad they stink! That said, they’re playing much better than the earlier rounds.
The two teams have improved as their seasons gathered momentum, this won’t be a classic but it will be close. I’m going to side with the Pies, they carry momentum into the game and are worth backing at home at $2.02.
Travis Cloke’s back! Sometimes Footy writes itself, I’m getting on the big man to kick first at $11, and then put the middle finger up to the powers at be.
Western Bulldogs v West Coast
The Eagles absolutely flogged the Dogs the last two times these teams have met, however it won’t be as straight forward today, as West Coast have struggled on the road.
The Dogs will love playing in-front of the home ground, but the Eagles have only won once on their travels. That said the Eagles come into the game off the back of easy wins against the Saints and Suns, followed by an away win at Port.
The Dogs were pretty lucky to beat Collingwood, they started the season very well but have wobbled a bit of late. Even with West Coast’s win-loss on the road, I think they’re huge overs at $2.12 to win. Plie in.
Matt Priddis probably hasn’t lived up to the hype surrounding him pre-season. The gun midfielder has only had over 30+ disposals this season, one being that vintage performance against Brisbane. He still looks good value to have 30+ today at $2.2.
Adelaide v St Kilda
The Saints have surprised a few this season, however they’ve yet to claim a big scalp. They’ve won their last two fixtures, but these were against Essendon and Fremantle. Before that they were embarrassed by West Coast.
Adelaide are a funny old team, a few weeks ago they looked like they could potentially miss out on the top eight. They now look like they’ll be in finals, and have the team to compete for the flag.
The Crows have the wool over Saints, they’ve also got the record at the venue and are in superior form. Only suggesting one result! Get on Adelaide to lead at every quarter at $1.7.
After that performance last weekend, how could I not back my old mate Eddie Betts. End the weekend in style by backing him to kick the first at $10.
