Brisbane Lions v West Coast
Even though I wouldn’t trust West Coast with $10 on the road, they simply won’t and can’t lose against the Lions. Brisbane have one win for the year and have conceded the most points by a mile!
Josh Kennedy will have been pitching a tent all week when lying in bed thinking of this fixture, this game could have huge implications on the Coleman betting market. Even though he’s missing his star ruckman, he will still get plenty of chances in front of the posts. As expected Brisbane will enter the game with zero confidence, especially after their big loss to Freo.
The Eagles have lost their last two games are dangerously close of dropping out of the top 8, which was unthinkable at the start of the season. They’ll get their season back on track today, get on them to win by over 40 points at $1.65.
Matt Priddis keeps the Eagles ticking in the midfield, he’ll get plenty of the ball today, hes my pick to have over 30 disposals at $1.89.
Fremantle v Port Adelaide
Port need a win! With the Eagles playing such s**t oppo, Port Adelaide will slip well out of the race for a top eight finish if they lost the Dockers. Good news for Power though, Freo are woeful, even though they won their last two this team still lacking quite a bit.
Port showed a lot when they took on the Bulldogs last weekend, and were good winners when they took on the Pies beforehand. The boys from Adelaide have got key players in good form, Gray, Pittard, Wines, Young and Dixon have all produced the goods of late.
With Fremantle’s forwards coming into a bit of form, this could be a very close game. Fremantle’s season looks to be picking up, they’re a good bet to win at the line today, get on +8.5 at $1.92. I’m also going to double Neale having 30+ disposals and Young to kick three or more at $4.3.
Western Bulldogs v Geelong
How many times will the Dogs v Cats joke be made today? Quick note, it’s not funny we’ve heard it all before!
This should be an intriguing game as top four finishes are insight for both teams, if North are too slip up against Hawthorn on Friday night, either team could secure top sport with a win. Geelong have a few up and down weeks but looked a solid team when they put away North last weekend. Whereas the Bulldogs manage to come away with a narrow victory against Port, a team any serious flag contender should be beating easily.
Once again it’s the Cats firepower in the middle which makes them a good bet, Bulldogs just can’t compete with Selwood and Dangerfield. The Tomahawk comes back in for Geelong, he’ll make a difference up the top of the pitch.
My picks is the Cats, get on them to win at $1.65, also backing Tom Hawkins to kick four or more at $4.8.
